There are 2 types of nutrition:
1. Micronutrients: Vitamins, Minerals, Phytonutrients (color pigments), Antioxidants, Enzymes, etc. These are for strengthening and supporting the immune system, cellular repair, cellular renew, cellular communication, etc.
2. Macronutrients: Protein, Fats, Carbohydrates. These are mainly for energy or fuel for the body, building new tissues: bones, muscle, etc.
Raw Living Spirulina is a complete whole food which means it contains all of the necessary nutrients to sustain life both on a micronutrients and macronutrient level.
On a micronutrient level we recommend 1-1.5 ounces per day fresh every morning first thing empty stomach for maximum bioavailability. For healthy individuals, this will provide the body with the micronutrients required for the day. (plus water)

On a macronutrient level, (if one consumes only Raw Living Spirulina), we recommend 12 ounces per day per 100 pounds female and 16 ounces per 100 pound male per day with normal healthy activity (plus water).
