I am wondering how the freshness of your product is retained in shipping, doesn’t it need to be refrigerated shortly after being harvested?

We harvest fresh Sunday -Tuesday, and ship now Monday -Wednesday.

The fresh Spirulina chills overnight from 95-degree water in which it grows down to 38 degrees when it is packed in the glass jars.

The jars are then placed back into the refrigerator to cool as a whole in the jars.

At 2 pm the jars are removed from the refrigerators and are packed in our custom insulated cooler boxes with ice bricks on top and bottom.

At 4:30 pm FedEx arrives at pickup.

Most shipments will be delivered at the customer’s door less than 48 hours later.

The coolers are designed to keep the product well under the 60-degree zone during transit.

When you receive your package please open up ASAP and place the jars into the refrigerator.

During the hot summer months, if you will not be home when FedEx delivers and the box is left outside the door in the direct sun, please consider creating a designated space the box can be in the shade or even placed inside a cooler by FedEx.
